Has arrived! Many of you know that Jackson was born on Sunday,February 15th, 2009 at 10:24PM. He weighed 7lbs. 12 oz. and he measured 18.5 inches long. He is beautiful and sweet. He has had some problems "transitioning" to life outside the womb, but he has made leaps and bounds in the 5 days since he was born. I am so proud to announce he is no longer on a ventilator and it seems he is on a steady path to recovery. I would go into all the technical details, but there are some many things that have happened in the past five days that this blog would be a novel. Charley and I praise our Lord God almighty, for all of this has been by his hand. He has guided us and supported us yet again, through another of life's troubles. I love my God and thank him for everything! Prayer works, I have seen it many times before and here again I see it working in my own life.
Thank you to everyone who prayed for Jackson, me and our family. Thank you to those of you I don't know, we appreciate your help and kind thoughts. To those of you who we do know, thank you friends. Thank you for taking a few minutes of your day to pray for our son and his recovery.
I know we still have a little ways to go, but thank you to the staff at Presbyterian NICU, they are such heroes to us. They have been helpful and informative and patient with us. I am truly blessed and cannot thank everyone enough!
To my Austin, you are such a sweet and loving son and big brother. Jackson is lucky to have you here. He will always have someone to look out for him with you around. Charley, thanks for being my rock, I know it has been difficult and you are my personal hero, thank you for taking care of me and taking the wheel. I love you all and again I thank you!
As soon as I can we will post more and I will post a picture of our beautiful boy.
Thank you and God Bless!
