Well barely, but I am. I am 35 weeks and desperately counting down the weeks, days and hours until Jackson arrives! It can be within the next two weeks according to my doctors, since I had Austin at 37 weeks my body is most likely to follow the same course. I might actually have a Valentine's day baby! That would be cute : ) Anyway, the babies room is complete and I have washed and prepared most everything. We have $$ saved, I have stocked up on misc groceries and other odds and ends. However I still have to pack my bag and get a few other things I have yet to purchase, i.e. baby monitor, baby bag and certain toiletries. I am stocked up on diapers; I went with Luvs this time around, because they are cheaper and still a good name brand. I go to BJ's and get the bulk box, I have size one and two and tons of wipes. I can't believe I am doing this all over again. There are days were I am so ready and then others where I could hold off for a few months. I guess it's just scary. My neighbor is ready to deliver any day now and she insists that we all go out for Mexican food some time this week to encourage labor. I don't know if it will work, but it's worth a meal. Right now I am about 153lbs, I know I have not gained a ton of weight but my doctor is OK with it. I don't have that preggo appetite for some reason. I didn't have it with Aussie either, so I guess that's just the way my body works. I must say I have really enjoyed this pregnancy unlike Austin's, and I am thankful I have been able to keep working as long as I have. God has answered that prayer for sure. I actually think Jackson has dropped into position, because I have the urge to pee every time I walk sit or lay down. Not just that but I just feel more pressure in my pelvic area. Of course this doesn't mean I am going to deliver at any moment, it could take several weeks, which is what I am estimating. But I will get the conformation from the Doc's on the 30th.
Charley has been the BEST husband ever, I really have not thanked him enough for being "Mr. Mom" and doing as much as he has for me. I know, I know, some people would say that is his job as a husband and part of me agrees, however there is another part that is grateful that he cares enough to do so. Some women don't have it as good as I do (don't think I haven't paid my dues :), but Charley you truly are a wonderful husband and I thank you for all that you have done, especially these past nine months :)
Charley and I will have, what will probably be our last outing in several months or longer this coming Saturday. My office is having it's end of the year party and we have a hotel room, dinner, after party at a swanky hot spot and brunch the following morning all courtesy of my employers. How nice is that?! Plus that's when I get my bonus...hopefully. I have yet to count that as part of our savings, but I am sure it will play a part.
I will tell you this years party attire has been focused more on Charley than myself. Being a preggo I did not want to go crazy getting some spectacular dress/shoes/purse and etc. Instead Charley got a great suit, which he looks dashing in and a couple of nice shirts (we couldn't make a decision) to go with. I will say that my whole outfit totals $55.00. I found a maternity dress at Target on clearance for $15, it is black and it had little topaz colored rhinestones above the belly/below the chest. I took those off because Charley wanted to match my outfit and that was an odd color to match. Anyway, Charley and I went to the mall to look for a shirt for him and we found a couple of options. We also stumbled across a pair of Anne Taylor shoes and matching clutch for me, with believe it or not topaz colored rhinestones on them. They were also clearance items and the shoes were in my size (the last pair). Needless to say I was happy to find something comfortable and cute for the party. Thanks God! If I am up to it, I will try to post some pictures, of the babies room and the party.
And on a final note, Charley and I will be routing for the Cardinals on Super Bowl Sunday. One of our friends from High Schools plays for them. He is #21 and his name is Antrel Rolle. I hope he and his team win, he is a great player!
I think this is plenty for now, I will try to post again soon...hopefully before Jackson is born, Ha!
Bye y'all!
